Journalist Of Odia Daily Dies Of Covid19

Bhubaneswar: As Covid-19 continues to take a toll, another 'Corona Warrior' from a popular Odia news daily has succumbed to the virus.

Odia newspaper, 'the Samaja's correspondent from Hinjilicut in Ganjam district died while undergoing treatment, informed the media house.

The deceased, Priyadarshi Pattnaik was undergoing treatment at a Covid hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 46 years old.

Ganjam district has been the worst-hit district in Odisha both in the number of cases and casualties of Covid19. Today the district reported 218 new cases out of the total 570 cases in the State. Two deaths were also reported from the district.

The total cases in the district have risen to 3634 while death toll remains at 36.
