Bhubaneswar: A team of ten Protection Officers of Jammu & Kashmir is on a three-day visit to the city to get first-hand account on implementation of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) and Juvenile Justice Act.
During a meeting with Police Commissioner YB Khurania here, the team was apprised of functioning of 'Mahila and Sishu Desk', 'Mo Sathi Application' and implementation of 'Student Traffic Volunteer Scholarship Scheme'.
Khurania also informed the team on functioning of the Integrated Anti Human Trafficking Unit (IAHTU), the Investigating Unit for Crime Against Women (IUCAW) and Mahila police stations.
The team was also provided details about the frequent workshops and seminars conducted by the Police Commissionerate to sensitise field officers on implementation of legislations concerning children.
Representatives of 'Save the Children', Srinagar Chapter were also part of the visiting team.
