Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Pratap Jena will leave for Delhi tomorrow along with a team of five doctors to find out whether separated conjoined twins Jaga & Kalia are fit enough to be brought back to Odisha.

“The health condition of Jaga and Kalia has improved a lot. Tomorrow along with a 5-member team I am going to Delhi to find out when they can be brought back to Odisha. We will speak to the authorities of AIIMS and later take a final decision,” Jena said.

A few days back, father of Jaga & Kalia had informed that the kids will soon be discharged from AIIMS and the process for it has already begun.

The twins from Milipada village of Kandhamal district who had a fused cranium were brought to AIIMS on July 14, 2017. The twins underwent a separation surgery on October 25 and 26 and later went through a reconstructive and plastic surgery of the skull in a phased manner.
