Iron Ore Loaded Goods Train Derails In Koraput

Jeypore: A goods train carrying iron ore derailed near Manbar station between Koraput and Jeypore stations late on Monday night. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far, sources said.

The train was on its way to Visakhapatanam from Kirandul of Chhattisgarh while 12 wagons got derailed at around 12 mid-night.

Rail communication has been partially disrupted following the incident. Senior officials of Railways with rescue operation van reached the spot and launched operations to clear the track.

The reason of the accident has not yet been ascertained.
