Cuttack: Excitement among cricket fans is certainly at its peak as after celebrating India's emphatic win over the West Indies in 2nd ODI, they are thrilled to witness the 3rd and final ODI of the series LIVE which to be played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 22. With international cricket returning to Odisha almost after two years, the fans seemed so enthusiastic that they made a beeline outside the stadium to avail offline tickets, some 12 hours before the schedule timing of ticket sale at the counters.
As per reports, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has decided to sell 10,050 offline tickets in 12 designated counters of the historic Barabati stadium on December 19 and 20, respectively after distributing some 9010 tickets to its affiliated organisations while rest 8150 tickets were sold online.
A dropping temperature in the silver city failed to dampen the excitement among cricket enthusiasts who began to queue up in front of the ticket counters from last night to get a chance to witness live cricket.
Official sources said a maximum of two tickets will be issued to one person after due verification of his/her identity documents.
An unprecedented rush at the ticket counters has forced both OCA and police department to make security arrangements more tighter near the counters.
