Bhubaneswar: A peace committee was formed today to calm things down and avoid any untoward incident at Trahi Achyuta ashram here at Jhiniti Sasan, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar which was vandalized and ransacked by angry locals this evening.

Sources said the committee will comprise police officers and local villagers.

The Commissionerate Police will set up four camps outside the ashram.

Notably, trouble started this morning when the policemen on duty tried to prevent the mob from barging into the ashram premises. Suddenly, the protesters, mostly young men in their 20s, started pelting stones on the policemen.
