Berhampur: A Hindi teacher from DAV School here has been honoured by the Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti for his success at the national-level Acharya examination.

Teacher Jeetendra Kumar Das was felicitated and presented medal at a function held recently at Wardha in Maharashtra.

The Acharya examination, conducted by Rastra Bhasa Prachar Samiti, is the highest test of the organisation. Das secured first position among five students across the state, who have cleared the crucial examination held last year.

"I came to know my position recently when the Samiti communicated me about the felicitation ceremony for securing first position in the examination," Das said.

Das has done his post-graduate in Hindi language from Berhampur University, besides B.Ed.
