Follow UsBhubaneswar: Odia rugby player and National Games gold medalist Sujata Pradhan has been untraceable for past one month. A missing complaint has been lodged by her father Kailash Pradhan at Nandankanan police station.
Sujata, a resident of Padasahi in Barang and a Plus-II student at Barang College, left home at 2 pm on May 18 informing family members that she was going to Kalinga Stadium for a practice session. However, she did not return and her family members are still clueless on her whereabouts.
“On June 18, she left home for practice at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and was supposed to return home the same evening at around 6 pm, but she did not. I had tried to contact her over phone but unable to reach her,” said Kailash, fighting tears.
“We have registered an abduction case in this connection and investigation is on,” said deputy commissioner of police Satyabrata Bhoi.
