Bolangir: An 18-year-old girl onboard a Shramik special train died while returning to Odisha from Visakhapatnam on Sunday morning. The deceased identified RadhaKhara hailed from Boipariguda area of Koraput district.
The government railway police (GRP) and railway protection force (RPF) personnel recovered the body at 6.10 AM after the train reached Bolangir station today morning.
According to sources, the girl was accompanied by her cousin brother and other relatives during the train journey. They were supposed to deboard at Bolangir railway station and leave for Runjivillage near Boipariguda in Koraput district.
They were travelling in the Coach No S-10 of the Shramik special train (08302).
“There was no symptom of illness and Radha’s health condition was sound while boarding the train. During the train journey, she complained of chest pain and died at around 6.30 AM,” said one of the relatives of the deceased.
The Government Railway Police at Bolangir registered a case of unnatural death in this regard and further investigation is underway.
As many as 2,37,698 migrant workers, who were stranded in several other states in the country due to coronavirus lockdown, have reached Odisha so far. Today, 20 Shramik Special trains carrying migrant workers from different States are expected to reach Odisha.
