Berhampur: One of the four persons, who were injured in an explosion in a steam pipe at Grasim Industries Ltd here on October 6, succumbed on Friday.
The deceased breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Three employees and an engineer had sustained serious injuries during the mishap. All the injured were rushed to MKCG Hospital. Later one of them had been shifted to Bhubaneswar after his condition worsened.
Irate over the incident, other employees had staged a dharna on the premises of the company alleging that the firm is least bothered about their safety after an ambulance delayed in reaching the spot to carry the victims to hospital.
