HC bench: CAC reaches consensus

Bhubaneswar: The Central Action Committee (CAC) of western Odisha lawyers’ association has reached a consensus on the contentious High Court bench issue today.

An 11-memeber delegation will meet the concerned minister in New Delhi in first week of September and discuss the matter with him.

Sources said, the decision on the location was unanimous with all members of the CAC and office bearers of 31 western Odisha lawyers’ associations in attendance at today’s meeting.

The location of the proposed High Court bench has been chosen in line with the recommendations of the Jaswant Singh Committee.
