Fire breaks out in BlackBerrys showroom in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out in a BlackBerrys showroom at Kharavela Nagar in Bhubaneswar destroying garments and properties worth lakhs of rupees on Sunday. No casualties were reported in the incident.

As per reports, the fire broke out in BlackBerrys' garment showroom on the ground floor of the building and later spread to the third floor. The staff present at the showroom first tried to douse the flame and then informed the fire department.

As many as three fire tenders were pressed into service to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.

While electric short circuit is suspected to have caused the blaze, the actual reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
