Bargarh: Police have launched an investigation into alleged irregularities in supply of rice after about 200 bags of rice were seized while they were being transported to West Bengal.

According to sources, 38 truckloads of rice were sent from the godown of the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) at Kenpalli in Bargarh district to the goods shed at Bargarh Railway Station for loading onto rakes. During loading of the rice into the wagons, some workers found that around 200 bags from a particular truck were packed with broken rice.
