Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is often seen saying 'apana mane khusi ta, mu bhi khusi' (are you happy... I am happy) while addressing public gatherings in the State. However, it seems the CM failed to ask the same to his own party leaders as exodus from the ruling-BJD continues with one more senior leader and Nilagiri MLA Sukant Nayak resigning from the party on Friday.

While resigning from the primary membership of BJD, Nayak alleged that a conspiracy against him has been hatched and it was exhibited during the joining ceremony of an Opposition party leader recently. Besides, the legislator accused the Balasore district BJD president of mentally torturing him.

"The mental torture meted out to me by the district BJD president has become unbearable. This hurt me a lot and so, I am tendering my resignation," said Nayak in his letter to the party president.

Earlier on Thursday, sitting BJD MP Balabhadra Majhi resigned from the primary membership of the party terming the BJD ‘undemocratic’. He also accused the party of conspiring against him by deliberately keeping him out of important party meetings since past several months. Besides, Majhi in his letter to the CM alleged that a conspirator group has created a wedge between him and the party President.

It is pertinent to mention here that such allegations had also surfaced in the past when some party workers raised concerns over conspiracies being hatched under the instructions of a courtier to drive away all the senior party leaders from the party for vested interests.
