Bhubaneswar: Illustrious social activist of Odisha, Padma Shri Tulasi Munda was on Tuesday admitted to a private hospital in the State Capital city after she complained of some health issues.
According to reports, Tulasi complained of suffering from chest pain and difficulty in breathing on Tuesday at her residence in Serenda area of Keonjhar.
She was immediately shifted to Joda TISCO Hospital where after preliminary health check-up and treatment, she was referred to Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
After the spread of the news, eminent personalities took to social media to wish a speedy recovery for the social activist.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal extended good wishes for quick recuperation of Munda in his Twitter handle.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote on social media expressing his concerns for the illness of Munda. He wished the social activist a speedy recovery.
Apart from the Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly, Pradipta Naik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that he prayed to Lord Jagannath for good health of Munda so that she would return and continue her inspirational work for the development of society.
Tulasi was awarded the Padma Shri in 2001 by the Government of India for her contribution to spreading literacy among the impoverished tribal communities in the State.
