Elections 2019: Congress Screening Committee to visit Odisha again

Bhubaneswar: The screening committee of All India Congress Committee (AICC) headed by VD Satheesan will arrive here in Odisha on February 25 for selection of party candidates for the remaining Lok Sabha and Assembly seats. Official sources said, Satheesan will tour Baripada on Monday and will meet party leaders and ticket aspirants for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar Lok Sabha and Assembly seats.

Later, he will meet party workers and other aspirants at Bhadrak and Balasore on Tuesday while All India Congress Committee screening committee member, Naushad Solanki will hold parleys with all stakeholders of Sambalpur, Sundergarh and Bargarh constituencies.

Senior Congress leaders informed that Screening Committee member, Jiten Prasad will meet aspirants and leaders from Kandhamal, Jajpur Lok Sabha and Assembly seats at a high-level meeting to be held at Congress Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on February 27.

The list of candidates for both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced in first week of March, senior Congress leaders said.
