Eggs hurled at Anubhav Mohanty’s vehicle

Jagatsinghpur: Rajya Sabha member and cine star Anubhav Mohanty on Saturday alleged that eggs were hurled at his vehicle while he was on the way to attend a ‘Ravana Podi’ ceremony at Ersama in Jagatsinghpur.

The matter came to the fore after Anubhav spoke about the incident while addressing a gathering during the event.

“Eggs were hurled on our cavalcade. Had the eggs been fed to a child, God would have showered blessings,” said Anubhav.

Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and Balikuda-Erasama MLA Prashant Muduli were also reportedly present with Anubhav in the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Tirtol SDPO Shiba Charan Mallik informed that a person has been detained by the Ersama police in connection with the incident and further investigation is on.
