Bhuabaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate will now probe the assets accumulated by the tainted bureaucrat couple - OAS officer Bijay Ketan Sahu and OFS officer Nalini Prusty, who were arrested by Vigilance a few months back.
While Bjiay Ketan Sahu was Chhatrapur Tehsildar, his wife Nalini Kumari Prusty was posted as FA-cum-CAO at Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA). According to sources, the ED will probe the disproportionate asset cases against the tainted couple under the Money Laundering Act.
The Vigilance had arrested the duo in August last year following simultaneous raids at the offices and residences of the couple at Bhubaneswar, Jatni, Puri, Chhatrapur and Kendarpada.
According to Vigilance sources, assets to the tune of Rs 6.87 crore belonging to Sahu and Prusty have been detected so far.
