Bhubaneswar: In what indicates a major declining trend, the number of new coronavirus infections reported in a day in Odisha dropped below 650 after several months, taking the State's cumulative tally to 310052 on Tuesday (November 17), as per the I&PR department.

Of the fresh cases, 371 were detected from different quarantine centers, while the remaining 273 are local transmission cases. While new positive cases have been reported from all the districts, no district has witnessed a daily surge of over 100 positives. In the past 24 hours, Khordha district recorded maximum daily cases at 73, followed by Sundargarh (62), and Mayurbhanj (59).
