Doctor Shot At By Miscreant In Odisha, Motive Remains Unknown

Khurda: A paediatrician was shot at by a miscreant at his clinic today evening in Khurda district. The doctor Manas Das and a medicine shop employee who received critical injuries during the firing incident, have been shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

As per reports, the miscreant fired three rounds of bullet after entering the clinic. Even though the motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police are trying to identify the accused caught in CCTV visuals captured by the camera installed outside the clinic.

Speaking about the incident, Khurda SP Ajay Pratap Swain said, "A case under Arms Act has been registered at the Town police station and we have sealed off all the entry points to the district. One accused can be clearly seen in the CCTV visuals. We have launched an investigation to nab the accused.”
