Boudh: In an unfortunate incident, the Deputy Director of Agriculture department, Manoranjan Mallick, was killed and two others sustained critical injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on NH-56 near Radhanagar Chhak in Boudh district late last night.
As per reports, Mallick died on the spot while the injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where they are currently undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred when Mallick, along with his driver and Peon, was returning to Bhubaneswar after attending a meeting in Radhanagar village. The driver of the SUV lost control over the vehicle following which the mishap occurred, added sources.
On receiving information, Boudh police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.
