Malkangiri: Despite tall claims of government to provide basic healthcare infrastructure in remote areas of the state, nothing seems to have changed in reality. Lest, incidents of non availability of hearse or ambulances wouldn’t have been trickling in from every part every day. Like the incident reported today where the body of a youth was carried on a makeshift bamboo stretcher by his relatives after being denied a hearse vehicle in Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district..

As per reports, the youth, identified as Nirmala of Majhiguda village was admitted to the Chitrakonda Community Health Centre (CHC) today in a critical condition following a road mishap. However, the youth succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the CHC.
