Bhubaneswar: As the Indian Railways is all set to run 15 pairs of special trains comprising only AC coaches, East Coast Railway (ECoR) today issued advisory for passengers boarding Delhi-Bhubaneswar daily special train. Here are the details of the operating special trains (train route, timing, ticket info and other essential rules) you must know.
1. The railways will be running 15 pairs of special trains from New Delhi from May 12.

2. The special train will start from Bhubaneswar daily from May 12 at 1000hrs (10am). This train will be fully air-conditioned having total 17 coaches of 3A/2AC/1st AC type. Meanwhile, the train from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar will start from May 14 (Thursday)
3. The Delhi-Bhubaneswar daily special train will have stoppages at Balasore, Hijli (Kharagpur), Tata, Bokaro Steel City, Gaya, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, and Kanpur Central between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.
4. Passengers can book their tickets only through the IRCTC official website.

5. IRCTC website will allow passengers to book advance tickets up to 7 days only.
6. The railways will not issue Wait Listed (WL)/ Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) tickets. Passengers will only receive confirmed tickets upon booking.
7. Passengers are permitted to cancel tickets online only up to 24 hrs of scheduled departure of the train. 50% cancellation charges will be applicable for the passengers
8. The railways will facilitate only limited variety of eatables including dry, ready-to-eat and packaged drinking water inside the train upon payment. The railways also urged the passengers to bring their own cooked food and drinking water.
9. Passengers won't get bedroll linen inside the train. The railways has suggested that the passengers may bring their own bed-sheets for convenience.
10. Train will start from Bhubaneswar Railway Station from Platform 1 Master Canteen side. Passengers are requested to arrive at Platform 1 from Master Canteen Side at least 90 minutes before departure of the train.
11. Passengers with confirmed tickets only will be allowed into the Platform. All passengers will have to clear medical screening before being allowed to board the train. Only asymptomatic passengers shall be permitted to travel.
12. All Passengers are advised to carry their own face cover, hand sanitizers, soaps, etc. for maintaining hygiene during their journey.
13. The railways further requests the passengers not to carry huge amount of luggage as attendants/porter facilities may not be available at the destination stations.
14. On arrival at Delhi / Bhubaneswar, passengers will have to adhere to local State Government health protocols as applicable to such passengers.
The railways has announced to partially start the train services almost 45 days after the services were suspended amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The national transporter started running Shramik Special trains from May 1 and till date it has operated over 468 trains and transported over 4.7 lakh people.
