Cuttack youth goes missing in Bengaluru; family seeks police intervention

Cuttack: A youth of Dharmagatpur area under Salipur block in the district, who had gone to Bengaluru for work 10 months back, has been missing. Parents of the youth, identified as Saroj Bhuyan, have lodged a missing complaint at the Salipur police station in this connection.

As per the complaint, Bhuyan had gone to Bengaluru along with another youth of the village for work but his family members have no information related to his whereabouts and are not even able to trace him since then.

Meanwhile, a viral video showing Bhuyan being questioned by a group of youths over his marriage to a young woman has increased worry of Bhuyan’s parents.

The video also showed the youths were arguing with Bhuyan and issuing life threats to him.

“After seeing the video of my son being surrounded by a group of angry youth, I am worried lot. I request the district administration and police to take steps to bring back my son,” said Bhuyan's mother, Golap Manjari.
