Crocodile in Mahanadi Flood Waters

Cuttack: Panic gripped residents of Kandarpur area in Odisha’s Cuttack district after a crocodile was spotted in Mahanadi river today.

As per reports, some locals spotted the reptile in the river after floodwater was released from Hirakud Dam. The panic-stricken villagers have informed the local administration regarding the presence of the reptile in the flood water.

On the other hand, this season’s first flood water was released from Hirakud dam on Wednesday. Farm lands in Banki area have been reportedly damaged due to the flood water.
