Bhubaneswar: The number of patients recovered from Covid-19 in Odisha reached 42276 after as many as 1550 recuperated and discharged in the last 24 hours.
According to the State Health Department, the maximum recoveries of 355 patients reported from Ganjam, followed by 241 from Khurda and 118 from Sundergarh.
Similarly, 99 patients recovered from Cuttack, 89 from Sambalpur, 72 from Dhenkanal, 64 from Malkangiri, 63 from Balasore, 62 from Kandhamal, 59 from Puri, 41 from Koraput, 39 from Mayurbhanj, 38 from Bhadrak, 32 from Gajapati, 26 from Bolangir, 20 from Rayagada, 18 from Jagatsinghpur, 17 from Jharsuguda, 16 from Jajpur, 16 from Kendrapara, 16 from Keonjhar, 15 from Boudh, 6 each from Kalahandi, Nabarangpur & Nuapada, 5 each from Baragarh & Sonepur, 4 from Angul, 2 from Nayagarh.
With the fresh recoveries, the active cases in the State have come down to 17,377.
Earlier in the day, Odisha reported highest single-day spike of 2924 positive cases, taking the coronavirus tally in the State to 60050.
The COVID-19 death toll in the State also rose to 343 after 10 persons succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours.
