Bhubaneswar: After the paper leak fiasco, the constable recruitment written test will be re-conducted on April 5 by the State selection Board.

On March 15th, the board found that the four questions of the written examination had appeared in a news item regarding alleged leakage of some questions of the written examination. In order to ensure integrity, fairness and transparency in the recruitment process, the board decided to cancel the written examination.

The examination was cancelled prior to commencement of the written examination in all the recruiting districts and the Police Commissionerate.

Meanwhile, after a Crime Branch probe was launched, six persons, including four police officials have been nabbed for their alleged involvement in police constable recruitment examination paper leak case.

The arrested police officials are Odisha Havildar, Sepoy and Constable Mahasangh secretary Kishor Kumar Mohanty, Bhubaneswar 7th Battalion sepoy Dinesh Kumar Pradhan, driver Biswa Ranjan Muduli and Koraput OSAP 3rd Battalion sepoy Bibhu Ranjan Muduli. A candidate Mrutunjaya Mansingh and another person Biswajit Mohanty, both from Cuttack, were also arrested.
