Bhubaneswar: The Congress slammed the ruling BJD-led Odisha Government for its alleged failure in providing adequate healthcare services to the people of the State. At a presser on Saturday, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) alleged that out of the 6,536 sanctioned posts of doctors, 3,119 posts are lying vacant.

There is provision of mere 18, 000 beds at different government hospitals for 4.5 crore people in the State. There are only 512 ambulances for the 30 districts of the State, alleged PCC spokesperson, Gyanadev Beura.
