Bhubaneswar: Taking cognizance of the question paper leak incidents in the ongoing BSE examinations in Odisha, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has rolled up its sleeves to ensure smooth conduct of Plus Two examinations by imposing stringent rules for candidates.
Chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), A K Patnaik, today informed that smart watches will not be allowed inside examination halls adding that if any candidate spends more than 2 minutes in toilet, an invigilator is allowed to conduct checking.
"Candidates will not be allowed to wear smart watches with features like apps and cameras, but they can wear normal wrist watches. Nobody will be allowed to spend more than 2 minutes inside toilet," Patnaik said.
As per the new rules, question papers will reach examination centres by 9:30 am in the morning and a triple-layered squad arrangement will be done at the centres.
Sources said that out of 1091 examination centres, CCTVs will be installed at 935 centres while security will be beefed up in rest of the centres.
