Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police today busted a gang involved in the theft of four-wheelers with arresting three persons, including the mastermind.
Sources said a special team of Mancheswar Police arrested mastermind of the gang Dharmendra along with two of his aides today after conducting raids at different places in and around Bhubaneswar.
The team also seized various parts of five cars, sources added.
Mancheswar Police had formed a special quad following complaints about the theft of five cars from various police stations here.
The police team first nabbed Dharmananda Rout, a member of the gang, and then busted the gang following his interrogation by the cops .
Rout is believed a member of an inter-state car lifting gang and has come out of jail a few days ago, police said.
