Bhubaneswar: State Health Minister Pratap Jena today inaugurated a new Cancer ward along with an operation theatre (OT) for eye patients at the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Following the inauguration, Jena said, "An exclusive Cancer ward along with a separate building was inaugurated at the Capital Hospital today. The ward will provide treatment to all types of Cancer patients, irrespective of the nature of the disease. Along with this, we also opened a new operation theatre (OT) for eye patients at the hospital."
The minister further stated that the new building of the hospital along with the new wards would provide much needed assistance to the patients.
The Cancer ward will initially provide facility of chemotherapy which will later be extended for Oncology, radiation therapy and surgery to the patients. Likewise, the operation theatre for eye patients will facilitate surgery for all eye-related ailments, sources informed.
