Youth’s body found on roadside in Puri; murder suspected

Puri: The mutilated body of a youth was found on roadside in Bali Sahi here this morning. The deceased has been identified as Krushna Chandra Sahu alias Bapi of Dhanakuti Sahi.

On receiving information, the Town police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Though the exact reason behind the death has not been ascertained yet, it is suspected that Bapi has been killed by some miscreants over past enmity. The family members of the deceased alleged that Bapi went outside after having dinner last night but did not return after that.

Sources said a clash erupted among a group of people during a feast on the roof of Swetaganga UP School last night. It is suspected that Bapi might have been killed during the clash.

Puri Town Police Station IIC Uma Singh said, “Bapi's body has been sent to hospital for post-mortem and we have begun investigation into the incident.”
