Balasore: A youth was allegedly beaten up in Nachinda village under Kamarda police limits in the district after a kangaroo court trial.
The complainant, Satyanarayan De of Kharajichaka stated some villagers caught him and tied with a rope when he went to Nachinda last night to purchase chicken. The villagers suspected his intentions and set up a kangaroo court trial where the husband of the Sarpanch and other villagers decided to punish him.
De, in his police complaint, stated he was also robbed of cash and other valuables.
