Dhenkanal: Panic gripped Thokara village under Balimi police station here after a youth of the village was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Majhi.
Though the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be known, past enmity is suspected as a possible motive for the crime.
On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the matter.
