Youth nabbed, court forwarded for cheating girl on pretext of marriage

Cuttack: A youth was arrested and court forwarded by the Tigiria police in the district today on charges of luring a girl into physical relationship under the false promise of marriage.

According to sources, the accused Rajib Singh of Gurudijhatia village was in a relationship with a girl of Puruna Tigiria village in the district.

Allegedly, Singh not only had sexual relationship with the girl but also cheated her of Rs 1.4 lakh on pretext of providing railway job to her young brother.

A fake railway identity card was seized by the police from possession of Singh.

He was in a relationship with the girl since last two years, added sources.
