Youth hacks uncle to death

Titlagarh: In a shocking incident, a youth hacked his uncle to death with an axe over family feud at Dandara village in Bongamunda block of Bolangir district last night.

As per the allegation received by police, the deceased Ramesh Padhi, working as a priest at Punjipathar temple was returning home after offering prayers when his nephew Ashwini Padhi attacked him with an axe.

Injured Ramesh came running to the village and fell near a tubewell at Harijan Sahi. He breathed his last on the spot.

Meanwhile, Bongamunda police have detained Ashwini for further interrogation.
