Bhawanipatna: In a move to crack the whip against contractors, who submit forged documents to win tenders, the Works department here lodged police complaints on Sunday against one Suraj Enterprises for alleged forgery.
The Works department stated proprietor of Suraj Enterprises Rajendra Prasad Agarwal and son Bunty Agarwal has provided 48 term deposit receipts (TDRs) to win tenders on different occasions.
Ajit Kumar Babu, executive engineer, Bhawanipatna Works department, said, "Separate FIRs were lodged against Bunty Agarwal and Rajendra Kumar Agarwal for involvement in the forgery."
Meanwhile, Surendra Nath Satpathy, IIC, Bhawanipatna police station, said, " Verification of records at the PWD office and local bank is on. Action will be taken as per law after a thorough probe."
