Women sell milk in front of liquor shop in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a novel protest, residents of Matha Sahi ward distributed milk in front of a liquor shop near Rajaghat square in Bhadrak.

The anti-liquor protestors including women and children also urged people to stay away from liquor and drink milk instead.

Though earlier the residents had staged protests in front of the Bhadrak Collector’s office demanding relocation of the liquor shop, the authorities did not pay any heed to the demands.

On the other hand, Bhadrak Collector Gyanaranjan Das said as the liquor shop relocation matter is pending before the Orissa High Court, no action can be taken till the verdict comes out.
