Rourkela: Sarpanch of Kaimati panchayat and Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD) President of Dhenkanal district, Mitanjali Swain was killed last night in Rourkela after being hit by an unidentified vehicle.
As per sources, Mitanjali along with her father and mother had boarded an auto from Rourkela railway station and was heading towards her paternal house at Fertiliser Township when an unidentified vehicle hit the auto near Rangila Square.
All three passengers were critically injured. While Mitanjali died on her way to Rourkela government hospital her parents are presently undergoing treatment.
