Wife hacked to death for refusing alcohol!

Malkangiri: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife and attacked two daughters with a sharp weapon after his wife refused to consume liquor.

According to reports, the incident took place at Kurukundi village under Kalimela police limits in Malkangiri district on Thursday evening.

According to sources, Padia Padiami, a resident of the village, came to his home in an inebriated condition. After reaching home he forced his wife to drink liquor.

But when his wife refused to do so, Padiami attacked his wife with sharp weapon in a fit of rage causing her death on the spot. He also attacked his two daughters seriously injuring them, the sources added.

The injured daughters have been admitted to a local hospital.

After committing the crime, Padiami fled the village, the locals said.
