Weather forecast: Thunderstorm alert for 14 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A thunderstorm alert has been issued today for 14 districts of Odisha by Bhubaneswar-based Regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per the latest bulletin of the IMD, thunderstorm accompanied by hailstone showers is likely to occur over Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts of Odisha till 7 PM today.

IMD further predicted strong and gusty winds reaching speed up to 50 to 60 kmph.

People have been advised to stay indoors during the hours.
