Water scarcity protest: Women throw bangles at Belpahar NAC chief

Jharsuguda: Irate women of Belpahar took to pelting bangles at the NAC chairman as a mark of protest against water scarcity in the town today.

Angry over shortage of drinking water in their locality, the women had staged a road blockade on national highway yesterday. Today, when some supporters of the NAC vice-chairman abused the women for yesterday’s road blockade, the latter went to the chairman’s office to bring the matter to his notice.

However, since the NAC chairman did not take any action in this regard, the angry women protested in a unique way by throwing bangles at him after barging into his office.
