Rourkela: A team of Vigilance officials today raided official residence of three officers of Lathikata block in Sundergarh district on charges of their involvement in financial irregularities.
The sleuths searched the houses of BDO Purna Chandra Bhoi, additional executive engineer Rajkishore Sahu and additional engineer Budheswar Sahoo located in Chhend Colony.
After financial irregularities of Rs 42 lakh were alleged in construction of rural road in the block, an investigation was initiated by the Vigilance.
Besides, the work order was given without inviting a tender in 2017.
The NSPCL Power Plant had granted Rs 1.32 crore to the local administration for construction of the rural road.
