Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is expected to get about Rs 1,500 crore pending entry tax and interest thereon after a nine-judge bench of Supreme Court ordered the State is competent to levy entry tax while hearing the Vedanta entry tax case, said the State’s Finance Minister Pradip Amat today.

The division bench of the Supreme Court said under the Article 304 of the Constitution of India, the State can levy the Entry tax on scheduled goods brought/procured from outside the State which are not manufactured.
