Unknown fever scare grips Kashipur; 3 kids dead in 15 days

Rayagada: People of Lipi Chekna village under Kashipur block in Rayagada district are living in a state of fear with three children dying and several others affected by an unknown fever in the last 15 days.

As per reports, 15 more children and 40 adults have also been affected by the mysterious disease. All are reportedly complaining of high fever and headache.

"I have been suffering from the fever for last two weeks. All the affected people are experiencing headache and severe body ache," said one villager.

"Our blood samples have been tested but nothing could be traced," said another villager.

Meanwhile, to take a stock of the situation a team of doctors of Kashipur Community Health Centre has reached the village.

"Our team will definitely figure out the reason behind the deaths in the next two to three days following which further steps will be taken," said Rayagada CDMO, Saroj Kumar Nayak.
