Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday revised the registration dates for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor scheduled on November 5 this year.
As per the new update published on the official website dated July 31, the board has decided to extend the deadline for the online registration from August 11 to September 11 and registration fees can be paid up to September 12. Earlier, the registration was scheduled to begin from August 1, today.
Candidates can log into the official website cbsenet.nic.in and fill in their necessary details. It is important to note that CBSE has made Aadhaar quotation mandatory for filling up the application.
The detailed notification would be available on the website from August 4.
UGC NET is used to ascertain the eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professors in a university recognised by the UGC. The examination is also used as an entrance test for selection of Junior Research Fellowships at a recognized national university.
Earlier the CBSE used to conduct the NET examination twice a year but from this year onward it would be held only once a year.
