Two of wedding band party die in road mishap in Kalahandi

Dharamgarh: At least two persons were killed and 24 others injured following a head-on collision between a pickup van carrying wedding band party and a truck near Kalopala on NH-26 in Kalahandi district late on Tuesday night.

While one member of the band party died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

The injured were initially rushed to Junagarh hospital by police and later four of them were shifted to Bhawanipatna hospital as their condition deteriorated.

The mishap occurred at around 12 midnight when the pickup van carrying the band party from Junagarh to Jayapatna collided head-on with the truck near Kalopala.
