Two Odia labourers killed in Chennai

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two Odia labourers from Rayagada district were killed in a mishap at a construction site in Chennai on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Sadashiv Kuturuka of Urlajodi village and Brundaban Kuturuka of Mandapai village in Bisamcuttack.

According to reports, the labourers died after an under construction wall fell on them yesterday. Both of them died on the spot.

Meanwhile, family members of the deceased have urged the district administration for an inquiry into the incident.

“My son had gone to Chennai for work 3-4 months back, Yesterday I got a call and was told that my son was killed when a wall collapsed on him,” said Ramdas, father of Brundaban.
