Two killed, 19 passengers hurt in separate road mishaps in Odisha

Cuttack/Balasore: Two persons were killed and as many as 19 others injured in two separate road mishaps in the State today.

In Cuttack district, two persons including the driver of a bus were killed as the vehicle hit a stationary truck from behind near Bainchua under Tangi police limits on NH-16 late last night.

While driver of the bus died on the spot, one of the bus passengers succumbed to injuries at Cuttack SCB hospital. Other injured passengers were discharged after first aid.

The mishap occurred when the bus going towards Balugaon from Kolkata rammed into a dumper truck from behind, kept on the right side of the road.

In Balasore, five passengers sustained injuries after a bus carrying BJP activists from Remuna to Bhubaneswar rammed into a truck from behind near Manjaripur petrol pump on NH-16.
