Two cops killed in road mishap

Anandpur: Two constables were killed in a tragic road accident at Pauchia Chhak near Harichandanpur in Keonjhar district this afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Alokjyoti Das (32) of Sampatna village and Sushant Nayak (26) of Pandapada village.

The two deceased constables of Odisha Armed Police Force (OAPF) posted at Keonjhar Reserve Police were on duty at Ghatagan police station.

Reports said the duo was returning to Ghatagan from Harichandanpur in a bike. However, the bike went out of control at Pauchia Chhak and hit a roadside tree killing both of them on the spot.

The incident took place at about 4.30 PM.

Following information, Ghatagan police rushed to the spot and took the bodies for post mortem.
